3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- use knowledge about the historical development and current tendencies in music;
- know the history and development of the chosen subject area;
- use knowledge from music theory and the professional music literature for one's artistic endeavours and professional communications;
- recognise and characterise types of music, genres, styles and analyse important musical works;
- actively use creative imagination, musical thought, apply expressional media for personal, aesthetic and musical feelings;
- master playing techniques on an obligatory instrument;
- master the basics of playing from a sheet and improvised accompaniment;
- use the pertinent computer programme equipment in the profession;
- be familiar with the organisation in musical life;
- have a grasp of the standard norms of professional ethics;
- master the singing techniques at a professional level and use them in one's musical activities;
- analyse and assess the interpretational art of important singers;
- sing solo, in an ensemble and in a chorus;
- interpret the desired repertoire with a convincing technical and stylistic expression;
- work independently and cooperate in a professional manner when realising joint works;
- apply a suitably personal interpretation in accord with the work's content;
- behave in a cultured manner, move about on stage and have a grasp of acting;
- develop one's singing abilities through individual preparation, practising and other studies.
