3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- choose a suitable hair-style depending on the quality and diagnosis of the hair in accord with the customer's wishes, the health and hygiene regulations, technological procedures, aesthetic principles and fashions;
- use ones knowledge of skin diseases, diseases and hair damage and foot and hand defects and diseases when providing hairdressing, manicure and pedicure services;
- choose suitable hair preparations and preparations for caring for hands and feet according to their properties and the usage options;
- make drawings of one own hair designs;
- give advice on treating hair and propose a final cut for a fashionable hairstyle;
- create complicated hairstyles for social and evening events using hair products;
- carry out a manicure and pedicure;
- offer and sell hair preparations and preparations for hand and foot care;
- test and assess newly developed hair care products and preparations for hand and foot care;
- set up and run one's own company after acquiring the necessary experience;
- apply the principles of social behaviour and cultivated conduct with customers, co-workers and business partners, behaving professionally and uphold the principles of business etiquette.
