3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- provide structural and technological preparation of production and prepare designs and structural documentation of the interior;
- use technical documentation of products to optimise production;
- produce, manage, and organise the custom-made and serial production of furniture products and wooden structures, including the use of wooden waste;
- perform own business activities;
- procure, manage, and organise the purchase of materials, semi-finished products, and technological equipment ;
- choose and use suitable methods of storing, handling, and preparing materials used in furniture production;
- choose and use suitable basic and auxiliary materials and semi-finished products for furniture production and observe their economical and ecological use and liquidation after their service life;
- choose and use suitable tools, machines, equipment, and technological and manufacturing procedures, and variants thereof;
- procure, manage, and organise work activities in production control and product quality control;
- manage and organise work activities in packing, storing, transporting, and expediting finished products;
- procure, manage, and organise the sale of finished products;
- observe an aesthetic look of products and be creative.
