3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:
 
  • be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
  • formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
  • educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
  • adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
  • work with information, use ICT;
  • use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
  • know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
  • act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
  • apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.

Vocational competences:

  • work with relevant legal regulations;
  • understand the labour and obligation law;
  • prepare typical standardised documentation;
  • make payments and prepare documentation related to cash and non-cash payments;
  • know the parties of the financial market and understand the activity of banks, insurance companies, building and loan associations and pension funds;
  • work with authentic data and documentation of the financial market and make calculations necessary for evaluating offers of banking and insurance products in securities trading;
  • calculate V.A.T. and income tax liability and calculate and make statutory payments;
  • account receivables, payables, expenses and revenues;
  • conduct simple market research and use marketing instruments to present the company and its products;
  • apply knowledge of the psychology of sale in negotiations with clients and business partners;
  • provide follow-up customer support and service;
  • present the company and create the company's image in public.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
The graduate can hold middle management positions in banking and insurance business, economics and administration and perform work activities related to economic and administration positions. ]
Examples of possible jobs: employee of banks and insurance companies, insurance consultant, broker, agent for building and loan associations, sales representative of financial companies, economist, financial officer, assistant.
