3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language;
- effectively organize and manage and participate in a team, including the ability to lead a team and cope with problematic situations;
- know how to use information and ICT, have basic ICT skills;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- have an overview of the materials, machines and equipment used and the technological and production processes;
- assess and distinguish different kinds, properties and quality of the material;
- read and use technical and technological documentation for individual production;
- design and construct products with the view of functionality and usability of processed material properties;
- use basic construction and modeling techniques for making new products, and to apply knowledge of design principles;
- make saddlery products according to technological procedures;
- orientate oneself in the whole field of the seddlary production;
- choose suitable technological procedures, material, tools, machines and equipment;
- realize complete production and component assembly according to technical and technological documentation;
- make different kinds of seddlary products;
- core, cut out, and process the product parts, splice the products by hand and machinely;
- process and make products of various patterns by hand and with use of modern technologies;
- make repairs and renovations of seddlary products;
- operate machines and equipment used in leather production, and make their basic adjustment;
- keep records of the production process;
- calculate prices for orders and be aware of seleability of the products on the market;
- communicate with the customer.
