3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- apply knowledge from the field of machinery and machine parts for construction machinery and electrical equipment, search for relevant data in standards, diagrams and technical literature;
- apply knowledge of technical mechanics in engineering calculations;
- apply knowledge of the properties of technical materials and semi-products and their usage;
- use knowledge from the field of electrical engineering, electrotechnology and electrical measurements to understand the function of electrical machinery and equipment, including measuring instruments;
- process engineering and electrotechnical materials both by hand and machine cutting;
- use the skills of the technical drawing to process technical documentation;
- apply additional knowledge and skills, specific either for engineering or electrotechnical field.
Vocational competences specific for electrotechnics:
- operate electrical appliances, machinery and equipment, and assemble them;
- understand the nature of measurement methods and techniques, verify the functions of electrotechnical equipment by measurement and calibration;
- read and use electrotechnical documentation;
- handle the principles of operation of circuits, units and appliances;
- know the components used in electrotechnics and electronics, know their properties and usage.
