3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

General competences:

communicate independently and fluently in mother tongue, give reason for his own attitude;
work in a team;
use basic mathematics when needed;
apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.

Vocational competences:

read simple drawings and charts and work with technical documentation of simple products;
choose, prepare and use the right materials for making brushes and baskets;
know and observe the technological procedures of making brushes and baskets;
choose and use the right manual tools and machine-technological equipment;
operate simple production equipment and perform its regular maintenance;
make household and artistic products from natural and synthetic materials;
store and treat materials and pack, store and expedite finished products;
use production materials and waste efficiently and ecologically.

4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE

The graduate can be employed as a basket maker or producer of wooden items in woodworking.
Examples of possible jobs: maker of straw and reed products, basket maker, basket producer, broom producer and brush maker.
