3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:
 
  • communicate independently and fluently in mother tongue, give reason for his own attitude;
  • work in a team;
  • use basic mathematics when needed;
  • apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.

Vocational competences:

  • distinguish basic building materials;
  • select and use hand tools and working aids for construction work;
  • choose and service hand-held mechanized tools and mechanisms for construction work to the extent authorized;
  • perform digging work by hand;
  • build a simple wall from various materials;
  • prepare mortars and cements from wet and dry mixes;
  • transport and store building substances by hand and with simple mechanisms;
  • assist during the application of water insulation and thermal insulation;
  • assist during the assembly of building constructions - ceilings, arcades, staircases and the like;
  • assist in assembling and disassembling scaffolding and supporting constructions;
  • assist in finishing construction projects - plastering and applying tile;
  • assist during the installation of the engineering network;
  • pick up materials and transport them to the place where they will be processed;
  • determine the influence of his or her work activities on the natural environment, dispose of rubbish correctly.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
The graduate can be employed as an assistant labour in construction and in simple masonry work. As assistant construction workers they may serve in the position of employee in all kinds and types of business entities in the field of construction.
