3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

General competences:

be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language;
effectively organize and manage and participate in a team, including the ability to lead a team and cope with problematic situations;
know how to use information and ICT, have basic ICT skills;
use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.

Vocational competences:

choose and use suitable materials for machine production and repairs;
use suitable technological procedures of production (including the production of agricultural products) and repairing as well as suitable technological equipment;
make simple machine components and repair and maintain machines and equipment;
diagnose defects of used technology, using objective and subjective methods and available diagnostic equipment;
arc weld, flame weld, and oxygen cut metals in the scope of basic training;
have a license to drive motor vehicles of the group T (tractors), B (passenger vehicles), and C (freight vehicles);
act economically and apply economic factors in compliance with the sustainable growth strategy.

4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE

The graduate can perform qualified activities in agricultural repairing and servicing - actual repairs, production and renovation of parts, maintenance, machine tune-up, diagnostics of defects and the functioning of agricultural technology and motor vehicles (in particular tractors) as well as in similar machine operations, forest management, transportation, construction, and other areas where repairs are needed.
Possible work positions: repairman of agricultural machines, repairman of motor vehicles (in particular tractors), driver of motor vehicles (including trucks and self-propelled agricultural machines), harvester, welder, keeper of spare parts, service mechanic, businessman providing agricultural mechanisation services (including the sale of agricultural machines), etc.
