3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:

  • communicate independently and fluently in the mother tongue, give reasons for his/her own attitude;
  • be informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
  • know the principles and values of a democratic society and basic civil and labor rights
  • apply basic mathematical skills to solve simple tasks;
  • deal adequately challenging problem situations, be able to work in a team;
  • have the knowledge and skills needed for health care, be able to provide the necessary first aid;
  • apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.


Vocational competences:

  • assist when treating the oral cavity;
  • process dental materials in the surgery;
  • care for the patients when being treated by the dentist;
  • develop X-rays;
  • take part in receiving, checking, handling and storing medicinal preparations;
  • take part in receiving, checking, handling and storing health materials and laundry and handling them;
  • take part in disinfecting and sterilising health materials and laundry and ensuring there are sufficient supplies of them.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
The graduate can find work as an employee in the area of health and diagnostic care in the filed of stomatological prevention and dentistry.
Examples of possible jobs: dental nurse.
