3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- identify and evaluate the properties of textile materials and apply this knowledge in designing and making textile fabrics, identify and evaluate textile fabrics and their properties and try textile raw materials, semi-products and products;
- prepare and read technical documentation for the production of textile fabrics and understand the procedures for the production of textile fabrics;
- determine the suitability of specific machines, equipment or lines for the production of specific textile fabrics, operate machines, equipment and lines based on his or her specialisation, e.g. textile technology, spinning technology, textile merchandise technology, knitting and enterprising, small company enterprising, etc.;
- ensure the optimal activity mode of machines, equipment and lines taking into account technological requirements and minimal impact on the work environment and the environment;
- monitor and evaluate the production process, analyse defects and evaluate the quality of produced semi-products and products;
- evaluate textile materials, semi-products and textile fabrics as to their quality and production and economic indicators;
- manage and organize the production process and apply the understanding and knowledge of prior and follow-up technological levels of textile production;
- observe hygienic, fire and occupational health and safety regulations;
- prepare information for payroll and costing and perform technical and economic analyses;
- handle basic sales transactions, deal with customers appropriately and handle business operation.
