3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- prepare technical and construction documentation of products, using standard and application software;
- use technical documentation in production;
- choose and use suitable materials and semi-products for the production of wooden structure components and ensure their suitable storing, handling and economic and ecological use after the end of their life;
- choose and use suitable tools, machines and equipment in production and ensure their functioning;
- determine partial technological and production procedures of the custom-made and batch production of wooden products and structures;
- ensure construction and technological preparation of the production of wooden structure components, wooden structures, wooden parts of constructions and other products made of wood;
- manage and organise work activities and check the observation of technological procedures in wood and construction production;
- assemble and install wooden parts of structures in compliance with technical requirements;
- keep production documentation and control the quality of products and semi-products;
- manage and organise the packing, storing, transportation and expediting of finished products.
