3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:
 
  • communicate independently and fluently in mother tongue, give reason for his own attitude;
  • seek out essential information from the text and other sources;
  • understand the task and solve simple problems, find the information necessary for the solution;
  • work or learn under supervision with certain autonomy, apply basic rules and procedures;
  • cooperate with others when solving simple problems and situations;
  • apply basic mathematic skills to solve simple tasks;
  • work with a personal computer and its basic and application software;
  • apply principles of safety and health protection at work, fire protection and fire prevention;
  • act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
  • have a basic knowledge of career opportunities in the labor market and of the job search process.

Vocational competences:

  • use electrical and mechanical drawings and schematic depiction;
  • display the components and circuits of conventional electric and electronic devices and equipment schematically;
  • have knowledge of the technical and safety standards and regulations;
  • solve the technical schemes, use displayed links in the performance of work tasks;
  • machine objects to the desired shape from metal materials, plastic and wood with hand tools;
  • produce mechanical components and parts of electrical machines, instruments, equipment and various mounting devices, including the necessary preparatory work;
  • use electrical and mechanical engineering materials and components;
  • carry out preparatory work for electrical wiring, prepare installation and wiring connections of line wires, sockets, etc. under the supervision and guidance of the responsible person;
  • unplug and reconnect electrical and electronic components by soldering;
  • perform work tasks on technical equipment in compliance with the technical documentation or instructions of the responsible person;
  • measure under the supervision and instructions of the responsible person basic electrical quantities;
  • assemble and disassemble electromechanical products and equipment;
  • install components and parts of electrical machinery, electronic devices and equipment;
  • check the technical equipment;
  • adhere to the working procedures binding for individual work activities, keep the given equipment in operation.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
The graduate is employed in the field of electrical and mechanical engineering, in work activities in the production, assembling or disassembling of electrical equipment. The graduate performs the required electrical, wiring, installation and machine assembly work at the workplace, operates production facilities and performs easy maintenance of electrical engineering equipment.
