3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:
 
  • be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
  • formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
  • educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
  • adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
  • work with information, use ICT;
  • use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
  • know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
  • act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
  • apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.

Vocational competences:

  • make out accounting documents, keep tax records for businesses, keep accounts all using computer technology;
  • carry out payments and make documents related to cash and cashless payments;
  • set up calculations and know the principles of price formation;
  • know the basic legal norms essential for doing business;
  • be familiar with the trade-business activities of market subjects;
  • make letters in a standard form;
  • use marketing tools for presenting the company and its products, organise market research and assess the results, promote products or services;
  • ensure the basic staff activities;
  • calculate and derive legal deductions;
  • apply a business-like approach when dealing with clients and business partners;
  • lead business dealings and prepare the background materials for the conventional provision of a contract and its subsequent realisation;
  • represent the firm in a suitable manner and co-create the firm's public image;
  • know the basics of growing plants and animal husbandry.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
The graduate can find work providing economic activities in agriculture. In economic activities the graduate is able to respect specific traits of agricultural primary production enabling them to find work whilst performing specialised activities in insurance companies, the banking sector and state administrative offices.
Examples of possible jobs: trading officer, marketing officer, accountant, financial officer, wages officer, purchasing agent, assessor for insurance claims (in agriculture), bank clerk, state administration clerk.
