3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language;
- effectively organize and manage and participate in a team, including the ability to lead a team and cope with problematic situations;
- know how to use information and ICT, have basic ICT skills;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- know art history and the development of art blacksmithing and locksmithing;
- know traditional technological blacksmithing and locksmithing procedures and techniques;
- work in compliance with individual phases of technological procedures, with focus on accuracy;
- choose the right types of materials for making specific products with relevant functions and aesthetic parameters;
- make and finish grilles, gates, construction and furniture ironwork, railings, locks, locking mechanisms, candleholders, sculptures, fireplace tool based on drawings, art designs or original models;
- repair and restore damaged parts of original objects, using original technological procedures;
- apply the right preservation methods;
- use applicable standards and regulations regarding the protection of historical monuments;
- prepare original and subsequent documentation for specific works;
- take care of and regularly maintain machinery, tools and aids.
