General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- use functioning, communication, logical, and installation electrical charts and manufacturing drawings, including graphical documentation, in constructing, designing, and diagnosing;
- understand electrical and magnetic effects, in particular direct-current and alternating-current circuits and electromagnetic fields;
- solve basic electrotechnical circuits and calculate their parameters when using discrete and integrated elements;
- know the properties of electrotechnical and electronic elements;
- solve electronic circuits;
- use measuring devices and methods and process and correctly interpret measured values;
- operate and configure PCs and their peripheries;
- know the properties, types, testing, and processing of different types of electrotechnical materials;
- programme one-chip microcomputers and processors in PCs;
- install and administer operating system (for ex. Microsoft Windows);
- install and maintain application software (for ex. MS Office);
- use programming environment for program design (for ex. Visual Basic, .Net Framework , SQL, JavaScript, HTML, PHP);
- use knowledge of computer networks;
- use knowledge about the systems of industrial automation and cybernisation.
