3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- apply one's knowledge from biology, ecology, geography, hydrology and surveying when carrying out work activities;
- take samples of environmental components, carry out the necessary measurements and observations in laboratories, in factories and in the field, process and evaluate the results of measurement;
- operate the pertinent machines and equipment, ensure their running, maintenance and control;
- propose partial solutions to protecting and creating an environment and landscape with an emphasis on preventative measures in all areas of human endeavour;
- ensure the building and zoning activities and the basic surveying work;
- be familiar with water and waste management and the possibilities for using alternative energy sources and resources;
- ensure an agenda for administering individual environmental components, carry out control, methodological and consultancy activities in the area of nature, environmental and landscape protection in a defined section, monitor the upholding of the pertinent legal regulations and norms, prepare decisions on sanctions and propose remedial measures;
- carry out educational activities for the public in accord with the sustainable development strategy.
