3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:
- cooperate with others in solving simple problems and situations;
- understand task assignments or identify the core of a problem, obtain the information needed to solve it, and propose a solution independently or under the guidance of others;
- express oneself clearly and independently in Czech, and justify one’s opinion;
- apply basic mathematical skills to solve simple practical tasks;
- work safely with digital technologies and their basic software;
- search for basic information in texts and other sources, understand task assignments, solve simpler problems, identify the information necessary for the solution;
- distinguish between different information systems and use them at the user level, enter data and search for and use them for one’s work;
- be prepared for lifelong learning and adapt to changing working conditions;
- strive for the highest quality of one’s own work;
- act economically and ecologically, in accordance with the principles of sustainable development;
- observe the principles of occupational health and safety, and fire protection.
Vocational competences:
- work with engineering materials;
- use the technical documentation.
- Vocational competences specific for metal working:
- perform simple technological operations according to the technical documentation, eventually according to the fitter´s instruction;
- set the technological conditions of machines according to the technological documentation or fitter´s instructions;
- perform routine operations of manual processing of metals;
- manipulate the workpieces and clamp them into standard and special fasteners and instruments;
- perform regular maintenance and inspection of machinery and equipment according to the established schedule.
- Vocational competences specific for assembly working:
- work according to established workflows or according to the instructions or supervisory staff;
- perform routine work operations of the assemblage of the product, its repair and maintenance with power hand tools, machines and equipments;
- keep basic records and paperwork associated with the repair and service activities;
- perform regular maintenance and inspection of machinery and equipment according to the established schedule;
- perform simple tasks in the manufacture of steel structures and their components;
- assemble and dismantle steel structures and their components.
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE
The graduate is employed to perform routine installation and servicing works on engineering products, to work in the construction or to operate adjusted conventional machine tools for metals.
Examples of possible jobs: engineering worker, machine and equipment assembler, semi-automatic machine operator.
