3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- have broad general education and deep knowledge of modern languages which can be used in further study;
- formulate one‘s own opinions and attitudes verbally and in writing, discuss in a constructive manner issues in the mother tongue and in, at least, one more foreign language;
- communicate at C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in one foreign language and at B1 level in one more foreign language;
- understand various social systems, systems of values, socio-economic phenomena and processes of everyday life;
- apply basic mathematical relations and physical, biological, geographical and chemical rules in solving practical tasks;
- understand the human-nature relationship, and behave ecologically and in accordance with the sustainable development principles;
- have general knowledge of the culture, history, and present of one’s own nation within the European and world context;
- use broad knowledge of linguistics, liberal arts, fields of technology and science for practical purposes and further education;
- be open to learn about new, unique approaches and problem-solving strategies;
- organise and manage one’s own learning, adapt to conditions of tertiary education and evaluate one’s own study results objectively;
- work efficiently with information and use means of information and communication technologies;
- adapt to the changing living and working conditions, work in a team and accept responsibility for assigned tasks;
- acquire information and practical skills necessary for study and personal and working life in an unknown environment and in international conditions;
- have social and cultural competences necessary for the civic life in a democratic society and in the integrated Europe;
- know the principles of protecting health and safety at work, of fire protection and fire prevention.
