3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:
 
  • be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
  • understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
  • communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; 
  • cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
  • be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
  • use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
  • work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
  • act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
  • support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
  • exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
  • exert norms and prescriptions in the field.

Vocational competences:

  • carry out work in the production of mechanical parts of electrical equipment, instruments and various assembly jigs;
  • settle the electrical circuits, design and construct appropriate compensatory connections of these circuits or devices;
  • disassemble, repair and re-assemble mechanisms or parts of electrical equipment, electrical appliances and other technical equipment;
  • distinguish between types of electrical equipment and carry out repairs based on diagnosed values;
  • design and choose technological procedures with regard to safety and health standards;
  • plan revisions and maintenance of electronic equipment and design method of removing potential defects;
  • use measuring devices for measuring electrical parameters and characteristics of electrical components and equipment;
  • choose the most suitable measuring method for measuring the electrical and electronic equipment and devices;
  • measure electrical quantities and their changes in electrical and electronic circuits and associated peripheral elements;
  • analyze and evaluate the results of carried measurements and process the records clearly;
  • use the measured values for the control and diagnostics of equipment, remove their defects, when putting them into operation, for servicing and operational settings;
  • create various types of technical and electrical documentation with regard to the standards in technical displaying;
  • use the standards and other resources when dealing with electrical engineering tasks;
  • read and create electrical schemes, documentation, graphic documentation of printed circuit boards and other technical graphic communication products used in electrical engineering.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
The graduate is employed in the field of electrical engineering, in work activities related to the design, production, installation, maintenance, recovery, adjustment, testing, servicing, repair and operation of electrical equipment, electrical machinery, instruments and distribution networks, electronic systems of automation, measurement and regulating technology, computer technology, electronic devices of consumer electronics, electronic networks, in the control system programming.
Examples of possible jobs: electrician, mechanic-electrician , electronic engineer, power engineering specialist, electronic dispatcher, service technician of electrical equipment, serviceman of electrical appliances, of computer and consumer electronics, control systems programmer, technician of electronic equipment etc.
