3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- have general knowledge of culture;
- in the course of one’s artistic activities, use knowledge of the historical development and contemporary tendencies of dance and ballet, music, and other artistic disciplines related to the art of dance;
- apprehend closely dance repertoire, its structure, characterise its content and stylistic categorization;
- use knowledge of music theory and basic music skills in dance practice;
- use knowledge of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology in dance practice, avoid health risks;
- use actively one’s creative imagination, use fittingly the means of expression of personal dance and musical sensibility;
- know the standard norms of professional ethics;
- use practical movement skills in executing individual dance techniques at a professional level;
- interpret the dance repertoire at the required technical, stylistic and aesthetic level of proficiency in accordance with the demands of professional dance practice;
- use knowledge of structure, tectonics and form of the dance repertoire when determining its interpretation;
- fulfill the demands of the choreographer and ballet master, be adaptive when studying an art work;
- develop one’s personal creativity and ability to improvise, or cooperate creatively in solo, duo, or group projects;
- concentrate and deal with the mental and physical strain of a dance performance;
- analyse and evaluate the conceptualization of an art piece and its interpretation.
