3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- take responsibility for completion of tasks in work or study;
- adapt own behaviour to circumstances in solving problems;
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least A2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;

Vocational competences:
- implement, maintain and repair floor made of wood, laminate and cork;
- consider, maintain and repair the flexible flooring made of rubber, textile and linoleum;
- select and use materials and products for flooring work, deliver them to the place of processing and prepare them for processing;
- select technology and design workflows flooring works according to the technical documentation;
- select, use and maintain tools, job aids and means of mechanization;
- prepare and organize work, determine the need for material and staff;
- assess the optimal working conditions for technological and flooring work, such as air temperature, humidity, quality and condition of the substrate, etc.;
- read the technical documentation of buildings and make simple architectural drawings and sketches and drawings of floor covering and construction work;
- carry out simple calculations of material consumption;
- monitor and evaluate the quality of performed work.
