3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- use at work knowledge of the historical development and current trends in visual culture and artistic creation in its field;
- know the composition and properties of photographic materials, methods of testing and processing;
- manage principles of creative and technical solutions of printed materials in relation with the application of photography in the press;
- use arts and expressive possibilities of various media, techniques, technologies and materials;
- manage digital and analogue control work processes and techniques used in taking pictures;
- choose the best process of the design implementation, continuously assess the quality of the results of sub-working operations;
- have an overview of the process of integrating video into print and other media;
- know the appropriate software tools and technological methods for image and text processing, decide on their choice in terms of final visual impression of the realized product;
- use correctly appropriate hardware and software devices for the relevant work procedures;
- think out the conceptual design and its final form corresponding to the required form of photography;
- work with image digitizing and video capture, process and edit photo images by computer programs;
- implement a simple and highly artistically and technically demanding photos in a variety of genres;
- create an art project in the application of photography in various forms of applied graphic design;
- perform basic marketing activities, professionally deal with customers, business and labour partners.
