3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- work with artistic designs of musical instruments;
- work out design and technological documentation of musical instrument with emphasis on optimal sound characteristics;
- assess the materials and semi-finished products for the production of musical instruments and ensure their economical and ecological storage and use;
- design for selected types of products suitable materials, structures and variations of the technological process of production including surface finishing;
- assess the appropriateness of the use of machines and equipment for the given type of production;
- design, organize, direct and control the course of technological processes in individual or mass production of musical instruments;
- tune and show off musical instruments;
- suggest and manage activities in packaging, storage, transportation and shipping of finished products;
- design the use and further processing of wood waste;
- monitor and assess the quality and aesthetic appearance of products;
- ensure contractual sales of products;
- ensure basic operations of personnel management, conclude contracts of employment;
- keep business administration and record the movement of assets, raw materials and products;
- use marketing tools for presentation of the company and products;
- monitor new trends in technology development and apply this knowledge in practice.
