3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- diagnose technical condition and defects of aircraft and aviation technology, their components, assemblies and systems, locate these defects and remove them by replacing components, blocks and groups, respectively repairs; use prescribed diagnostic instruments and devices for these activities;
- carry out planned inspections of components, assemblies and systems of aircraft and aviation technology, carry out setting, service and maintenance and record these activities and their results into operational documentation;
- analyse the technical condition of the aircraft and aviation technology based on established data from diagnostic devices or examinations;
- choose processes of complex assembly of aircraft components and aviation technology and select the necessary working tools and equipment in accordance with prescribed technological standards;
- measure and verify the attributes of parts, components, units and systems of aircraft and aviation technology, carry out function tests, or test according to following requirements, use appropriate gauges, measuring instruments and test equipment;
- measure and control the size, shape, relative position of surfaces, surface quality of aircraft parts and aviation technology;
- use the necessary handling and assembly equipment for assembly of aircraft and aviation technology, edit, maintain and care for them;
- select working procedures when working with hand tools and instruments used in manual processing of technical materials;
- select and use tools, instruments, gauges, test equipment and other working tools, ordinary and special, used in the manufacture and assembly of aircraft and aviation technology, revisions, service and repair work;
- work with design, technology and service documentation of aircraft and aviation technology, standards, workshop schedules, etc., extract the information and use them;
- read setting drawings, assembly drawings and diagrams, especially of systems, assemblies and components of aircraft and aviation technology;
- present ideas and proposals using means of information and communication technologies, use application programs to support the care of the technical condition of the aircraft.
