3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- be familiar in the area of art history and the aesthetics of applied art;
- be familiar with current design trends, apply the ability to invent a creative solution to a given task;
- have a command of the basic creative expression techniques associated with the creative processing of materials in the profession;
- apply technical/theoretical knowledge and practical working skills on computers using Adobe graphic software at a high level;
- be familiar with the area of graphic design and advertising graphics;
- use traditional and modern technologies in visual communications;
- have a command of the basics of photographic and audiovisual creation, use specific programmes at a user level;
- apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the area of printing, preparing print templates and processing them;
- using knowledge from the area of typography and the skills of traditional graphic and printing procedures;
- have a command of individual printing techniques and the basic technological procedures of processing printed materials;
- have comprehensive knowledge and skills in the area of design and realisation;
- apply a technological, manufacturing, economic and environmental standpoint during ones activities;
- realise simple to highly demanding graphic solutions for the given promotional media;
- be familiar with the range of work tools, aids, instruments and equipment, know how to use them for specific work procedures, know how to treat and store them;
- precisely observe the set technological procedures when working with the material, respect the pertinent standards;
- make complete design, technical and technological documentation.
