3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- use knowledge of the historical development and contemporary trends in visual arts and artistic creation;
- choose the possibilities of creative solutions by analyzing given task, evaluate and defend the solution;
- use the fine art and expressive possibilities of used materials and technological processes;
- propose design of simple and complex products, work out futuristic studies;
- implement, when creating art design, ergonomic, technology, manufacturing and economic considerations of the realisation and aspects of safety work;
- have a complex overview of the types of materials used, assess their properties and decide on their choice in terms of their expressive possibilities realized and the resulting tone of the proposal;
- manage the traditional and new technological processes and techniques, prove, select and defend the best implementation process of the design, continuously evaluate the quality of the results of partial work operations;
- self-produce technically simple models up to highly demanding models according to graphic designs and technical documentation, using the appropriate procedures;
- work out technical documentation and the accompanying report;
- present the work in appropriate way;
- have knowledge of marketing tools and perform basic marketing activities in relation to the field;
- manage the principles of professional behaviour and psychological foundations of negotiations with customers, business and labour partners.
