3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- have an overview of the system of social services and basic conditions of their provision;
- participating in the delivery of social services, implement administration and administrative procedures related to the provision of social services;
- carry out primary crisis intervention and basic social counselling;
- be concerned under supervision in the social screening and social prevention;
- assist mobile and immobile clients in residency and domestic setting in ensuring basic living needs, including running the household;
- assist families in the care for a child or adult with disabilities;
- provide care for children up to three years in daily routine;
- carry out basic education of clients supporting their self-sufficiency, social mobilization and active leisure pursuits;
- prepare and implement activities required to create and maintain self-sufficiency of clients, their physical and mental health, social and work habits and needs;
- apply when working with clients (individuals or groups, children or adults) knowledge of psychology, appropriate teaching strategies and means and basic methods of social care;
- contribute to creating a safe and comfortable setting for clients, respect the rights and interests of the client.
