General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;

Vocational competences:
- have an overview of the historical development of visual and applied arts;
- identify various style periods, their main features and arts and crafts elements;
- assess the antique goods in terms of artistic types, historical styles and origin;
- recognize and identify materials and manufacturing techniques of art and production technology of antique objects;
- know the basic procedures to distinguish the original from the copies, replicas and fakes;
- follow the principles of connoisseurship;
- follow the relevant standards and regulations in the field of conservation ;
- carry out and ensure purchase, sale and storage of antique goods expertly;
- provide information to customers and business partners professionally;
- keep records and business documentation;
- know the legal standards regulating the business activities, economic and HR management and apply them in practice;
- apply the principles of psychology of sales and professional behavior in communication with the customer.
