3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- operate conventional and numerically controlled machine tools for machining of workpieces;
- adjust manufacturing machinery, equipment and lines (e.g. machining, forming) and technology-related handling equipment using the industrial and technological documentation;
- clamp tools and manufacturing equipment and adjust their position;
- create the CNC machine production programs;
- implement the modification, correction and testing of programs for CNC machines;
- introduce operators onto the service of the reconditioned production machinery, equipment and lines when performing the technological operations and instruct them in the necessary extent;
- check the size, shape and relative position of surfaces and surface quality of workpieces;
- set up working procedures, define working conditions, select instruments, tools, gauges and other work equipment for performing technological operations (including the use of appropriate software on the PC);
- distinguish machined materials according to their standardized designation, know their properties and take it into account in their treatment;
- search for information in the standards, catalogues and other information sources;
- work with a personal computer and other means of information and communication technologies.
