3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;

Vocational competences:
- have knowledge of the history of art, particularly in relation to the historical development of the organ;
- distinguish the various style periods according to the characteristic and artistic elements and assess their impact on the visual design of organ;
- handle artistic expressive techniques;
- strengthen personal approach (relationship) to arts and crafts work by studying contemporary and historical stylistic elements of art;
- have knowledge of the history of music with an emphasis on the historical development of organ music;
- present their work appropriately depending on the specific situation;
- have knowledge of marketing tools and perform basic marketing activities in relation to the given field;
- handle principles of professional behaviour and psychological bases when dealing with the customer, business and labour partners;
- have a comprehensive overview of the types of materials used, treat them economically and ecologically, know how to assess their properties and decide on their choice for their expressive possibilities and the resulting tone of the implemented product;
- handle traditional and new technological processes and techniques, select and justify the most appropriate implementation process, continuously evaluate the quality of partial results of work operations;
- implement specific technological processes in the manufacture, repair and reconstruction of the organ in the required quality;
- apply relevant standards and regulations in the field of conservation;
- used correctly and in accordance with relevant jobs that adequate machinery, equipment, instruments, tools and accessories, know the ways of their care and routine maintenance;
- effectively organize the work with respect to schedule, perform work perfectly in line with artistic intent and high demands on the level of craftsmanship (arts and crafts processing) of the final product;
- follow the development of new technologies, materials, technical equipment, etc. and implement them into practice;
- carry out repairs and reconstruction of damaged parts of the organ;
- handle basic economic activity in relation to the expected professional life.
