3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;

Vocational competences:
- apply aesthetic principles of printing production;
- have knowledge of creative graphic techniques in relation to the printing industry;
- realize graphic art designs of the graphic designer;
- have an overview of the structure and tasks of the control section in the polygraphic company;
- have an overview of the printing industry, of the book production and technologies used their production;
- have an overview of machinery, equipment, digital control systems used in the printing industry, know the principles of their activities and methods of their routine maintenance;
- have knowledge of all printing techniques and in all phases of printing production;
- performs entries of the technological processing of the order;
- work up the technological processes of production following the setting of the order;
- carry out the calculation of the production costs of printing products;
- carry out the evaluation of the quality of printed products;
- comply with established standards and regulations related to quality management systems in the workplace;
- ensure the security parameters of quality of processes, products or servicesand while taking into account the requirements of customers;
- consider potential costs, revenues and profits, environmental impact, social impacts when planning and assessing activities in the workplace and in everyday life.
