3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;

Vocational competences:
- use knowledge of the historical development and current trends in visual culture and clothing design;
- implement procedures for solution of fashion design;
- form cuts of simple clothes, complicated up to highly- sophisticated fashion models, historic or scenic costumes according to the creative proposals;
- work out design of simple clothes, fashion models and historic and scenic costumes;
- use graphic programs for processing graphic designs and their implementation;
- apply the technology, production and economic aspects of implementation when creating art design;
- work out the technical documentation and work with it;
- have a complex overview of the types of materials used, handle them economically and ecologically;
- use arts and expressive possibilities of the materials and technological processes of the realisation;
- handle technological processes and implementation techniques of graphic design of simple clothes, fashion models, historical or scenic costumes;
- manage traditional and new techniques and technological procedures, choose and defend the most appropriate procedure of the implementation of visual design, continuously evaluate the quality of the results of partial working operations;
- make simple dress, model of a challenging design according to the proposal;
- correctly use the relevant work operations corresponding to the machinery, equipment and utilities;
- present the work appropriately depending on the specific situation;
- manage basic economic activity in relation to the anticipated professional life.
