3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- take responsibility for completion of tasks in work or study;
- adapt own behaviour to circumstances in solving problems;
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least A2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;

Vocational competences:
- carry out construction, maintain and repair the fortifications of vegetation, paving, walls of rubble stone, maintain the strengthening of the banks of water works and flows;
- maintain and repair the riparian vegetation, maintain flow rate channels;
- operate the dam, weir and navigational equipment, including small hydro power plants;
- perform patrols and inspections to flood water flows and water works, perform flood protection;
- clean water works and water flows;
- check the water quality in reservoirs and tributaries, take water samples for laboratory analysis;
- check the status of riparian vegetation and stands fortification walls and riparian vegetation, check the flow rate control channels and water management;
- check the hygiene conditions in the protection of water resources and sanitary protection zones of water facilities;
- measure water levels and hydrological data and the flow variables, tanks, weir and lock devices according to the technical and safety supervision;
- measure and record meteorological and hydrological data;
- work up and machine the metals both by hand and on a machine;
- read technical drawings, plans, maps and situation, have knowledge of the technical standards and regulations;
- work with tractors, mowers, brush cutters, chain saws, motor and other minor mechanization;
- prepared to obtain driving license group B and lead a small vessel of category M and S.
